Students will learn the fundamental skills required to effectively use the following types of software applications:
Word Processing
Desktop Publishing
Spreadsheet/charting
Photo editing
Slide presentation
Internet research
Web page creation
Students will also learn about the basic components of a computer system and will learn how to use such peripherals as scanners, flash drives and printers.

This is a one-semester elective course. Students will learn and apply the following basic and advanced technologies and techniques to create web site projects:
Basic Hypertext Markup Language HTML) tags to create basic pages
HTML tables and Cascading Style Sheets to refine page layout
Adobe Photoshop Elements for web page layout design and web graphics design
Macromedia Flash to add animation, sound, and video
