Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School serves the parish of Saint Joseph Basilica in Alameda, California. As a parish high school, we are closely affiliated with not only our Basilica, but also our adjacent parish elementary school, St. Joseph Elementary, and with the greater parish community. SJND is one of three Catholic high schools in the Diocese of Oakland. Graduates of SJND go on to some of the top universities in the country.

Saint Joseph Notre Dame is a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory, parish high school that is dedicated to the development of the whole person. Saint Joseph Notre Dame and the parish communities have a rich tradition and long history of Catholic secondary education in Alameda. Our program emphasizes academic excellence, moral values and service within the context of a faith community.
Vision Statement
Students of Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School will possess the knowledge, skills and Christian values they need to achieve fulfilling personal lives and careers. They will be prepared to exercise leadership roles in their adult lives and foster democratic principles and Christian values of social justice in a diverse and technologically changing society .
Expected Student Learning Results
The Expected Student Learning Results (ESLRs) are a guiding principal in the school's curriculum, activities, athletics, and in the ways in which members of our community interact with other. The ESLRs were created in 1998 jointly by faculty, staff, administrators and students.
